How Burrow works
Burrow is a web page that brings small AI models with it. Your phone or computer runs them. There is no Burrow server, so there is nowhere for your messages to go.
What happens when you use it
- The first time a skill is used, its model downloads once (tens of MB) and stays saved on your device.
- Your device runs it. The answer shows where it ran and how long it took.
- After that it works offline.
What runs where
| Device | What it can run |
|---|---|
| iPhone | Up to 3 small helpers at once (scam check, voice to text) |
| Computer with a GPU | More helpers, plus a small "thinking" model for summaries |
| Android | Not tested yet |
Measured on real devices on 2026-10-10. Burrow checks your device before loading anything, so it won't try something that would crash the page.
Privacy, in plain words
- No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no server that stores anything.
- The page is only allowed to download its own files and the AI models. It can't send what you type anywhere.
- History, if you keep it, lives in your browser. Anyone using the same browser on the same device could see it; you can clear it anytime.
